Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline including celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in power within the urban setting.
Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 are included.
The Warrior Group Introduced
Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of heroes who will split off from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.
This warrior group includes Teor (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Given a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.
Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are scarce.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might look mismatched, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise started the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.
Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each character has a individual motive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a nasty place.
- The strong character and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
- Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the party enter locations they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The healer defied the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.
Upcoming Developments
Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight players to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.
Viewers can expect finding out which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
